I totally planted a garden. My very first one. I'm pretty sure trying to grow herbs in my kitchen didn't count. Why? Because they all died. Real quick. Awesome. (And by awesome, I mean I was devastated. And by devastated, I mean I forgot about it within the hour.)I definitely don't have a green thumb. At all. I actually have a black thumb. The black thumb of death. Seriously.
My parents both grew up on farms. (Go figure.) Did I grow up on a farm? No. I grew up in the city, where the closest thing to a farm were orange groves and the little grove stands on the sides of the road... that sold oranges. If I did grow up on a farm, I'd be able to grow potatoes and slap cows around like it was no ones business. Instead, I just bought oranges from the little grove stands on the side of the road. I did go visit my grandparents a lot on their farms though. Does that count?
Anyway, I'm giving this gardening thing another shot and here's what I've planted in my very small, very humble little garden. Please pray that nothing dies. Really.
Cilantro
Sweet Basil. I've actually made a couple of sandwiches with it so far. So freaking good.
Hot House TomatoesGrape Tomatoes
Better Boy Tomatoes
Sandia peppersRed Chili Peppers
Red Bell peppers
Strawberries. I cannot wait for these babies to start producing!
Petunias
Snap Dragons
Marigolds.Yep. I have to keep all of the little taggie things so I can remember what everything is called.
Maybe plants and flowers like beer.
I need some garden advice. ANY garden advice, tips, hints. I really have no idea what I'm doing. I'm just trying to be all domestic and crap. Help a girl out.
