I Did a Marathon

So it wasn't exactly a running marathon, more of a shopping marathon. Same thing though, right?

While in California, I went with the BFF Lindsey, on a three-hour tour, no wait, make that an eight hour tour... of the mall. How can someone spend eight hours at the mall? I'm not sure. But it was awesome. I can't remember the last thing I did that I spent eight hours on. Well, sleeping. But besides that, can't think of anything.

And when you have a mother who gets to see her only grandchild about every three months, you know she'll babysit for any number of hours... free. More money to spend on shoes.

We spent most of our time at:
Now, we really think it looks like a way overpriced thrift-store, but we seriously had a blast in there. I think that we were in there for two hours. Here we are in the dressing room. Same outfit. We are nerds. Yes, that is the Blue Steel face I'm pulling. So hot!

We finally tried out Pinkberry, because it is all the craze right now. Verdict: So freaking awesome!
After about six hours, our dogs were barking. And by dogs, I mean feet. We actually had to switch shoes, just to get a little relief. And when that was working anymore, we just had to buy new shoes.

These little beauties I actually bought the day before the marathon. They were like heaven on my feet. I thought they were made specifically for my two feet. And then I decided to wear them shopping all day, without breaking them in first, and I thought my feet had died and gone to hell. All day. And the next.
Seriously, the picture doesn't do them justice. Redness and blisters. Ouch. And I need a serious pedicure. I bought these flip-flops to give my feet a break.
And these were so comfy.
And these were just plain cute. I'm so into orange right now. A girl can seriously never have enough shoes. Shhhhhh, don't tell my husband.

And someone from Taos keeps looking at my blog. I'm pretty sure it's Julia Roberts. Hi Julia! Hey Phin and Hazel!

What's the longest you've ever been shopping?

I hate shopping. I only love it when I have money and nothing I need. I like it when I dont have a time limit and Cameron just lets me have a day. Other then that I hate it. Sounds like you had fun though. By the way our new house is in 5th ward. We close on the 28th of this month.

Those shoes all look so familiar too me... must have been because my daughter loved trying them all on all week! Sorry, didnt realize they were all the NEW ones! Anyways, I think I could spend more hours at the mall then disneyland in a day and I am LOVING all my Old Navy purchases and No guilt. Thanks for the fun time, I speak only the BEST of Farmington! How fun! And seriously, a girl can never have enough shoes. I've purchased four pair of shoes in the last month. And as cute as they all are...my feet feel dead from all the pain. I don't think I've ever been shopping for more than five or so hours. But you've inspired me to reach higher.

I'm so jealous that you got to go to CA and ditch this freezing cold weather. It was fun to see pics of Lindsay. She looks just the same as she did when I served my mission in her home ward. CUTE! I finally checked out your side bar to see if she had a blog and left her a little message.

You are one lucky girl. I'm not one for shopping, but if I was able to ditch Gwen, and hook up with a good friend, I think I could do it....oh, and if I wasn't so cheap. When are you coming to SLC next? How can you see who is looking at your blog?

I was cracking up at your heaven made shoes that ended in hell. I'm not much for shopping but a day being crazy with your BFF sounds great.

when i was skinny i loved to shop. Not so much anymore. Especially when you know you can't spend $$$. it sucks. My guess would be probably about 8 hours with my mom and Natalie. But never just in "the mall" we'd go tons of places...or so it seemed.

How fun! I would say clothes shopping and shoe shopping are the best....then I had kids and shoe shopping and KID clothes shopping made the list. And shopping without kids sounds like heaven!

All I have to say is that it takes a real champion to complete any marathon, shopping included.

So go hum the Rocky song and know I'm proud.

I used to get seriously panicky from shopping, but it's getting better. Don't think I could do a marathon -- I try to get in and get out, unless my daughters and I are having a fun time.

So fun!! I've never gone that long....I think I could take the day long shopping, but the day long of hanging out in the tiny dressing rooms would kill me. you are a champ.

That Hansel. SO hot right now. Hansel.

I once broke in a fantastically comfortable pair of ballet flats on a trip to Vegas. VEGAS! It was seriously the most retarded thing I've ever done. My feet swore at me incessantly for weeks!
