Not Hawaii

Brett thought we were going to Hawaii, but we really went to Seattle and the Oregon coast. It was beautiful!
We went to Pike Place Market, which was the bomb. I wish I had one of these down the street.
Fresh fruit and veggies every where. Yum. My favorite were the cherries. The yellow-ish/red-ish ones. One lady has these pretty bunches of lavender. And every time I hear the word lavender, I think of none else... than Black Lavender. And Bobby Light.
Oh Yeah!
Arrrr!
Brett and his buddy/cousin Christian standing in front of the very first Starbucks.
Cheese!
Crude humor... that's how our family rolls.
In Cannon Beach, OR. Doesn't it remind you of The Goonies? Probably because some of it was filmed there.Nate's family reunion was in Lincoln City, OR this year. There were over 100 people there. The fam is getting big!

Things I learned while being in downtown Seattle:
If I moved there, I would have to a) start drinking coffee, probably Starbucks because there are only a hundred million in the downtown area b) start smoking c) bust out my thick-rimmed glasses and wear them. oh and d) be a hippie. Looks like I won't EVER be moving there. But the food was the bomb!

Things I learned while being in Oregon:
a) People love dogs more than humans, b) lots of hotels are pet-friendly. Which is probably why our room smelled like wet dog. I'm pretty sure the people who stayed in our room before us let their smelly wet-ass dog wipe it's smelly wet-ass body all over EVERYTHING. Yum. c) Oregon is cold. COLD. I was wearing a sweatshirt in July. In the middle of the summer. d) Although beautiful, Oregon is not the place to go to the beach. Like I said in c)... Oregon is cold. If you want to go to the beach, go to California, Hawaii or the Caribbean. Where it actually feels like the beach and not the icy Tundra. and e) there were a ton of hippies. Looks like I won't ever be moving there BUT I had the best clam chowder I ever had in my life. Oh yeah!

Where was your family reunion this year?
(Because I need some good ideas, we might be doing the next one)

What a cute little Prego you are! Brett looks a lot like Nate! But I see you in him too. Crazy how the mix comes out in kids.

Morgan has wanted to do a trip like that for a long time. Sounds fun.

We don't have family reunions. I guess we don't like our family that much. The last one we went to was the one at the beach house 4 years ago. (Which I'm supposed to ask about for my family for next summer...do you have info on it?)

I've always wanted to go to Oregon. But not if it's that friggin' cold. I just decided I'm only getting pregnant again if I can look as cute as you are!

I love the 2 last pics, but not as much as I love the pic of Rob&Big.

Oregon looks the bomb! Im glad you made it home without the hippies rubbing off on you!

I love all of your pictures, it is beautiful there. It made me sick to read about the wet dog smell in your hotel, I don't mind dogs, but that sounds nasty! I am glad that you had a fun time though.

Our family reunions are always camping. BOO! Our family is in charge next year too. I suggested a week on the beach somewhere tropical next year, but I was outvoted by all the mountain men.

Oregon looks beautiful, but I don't like hippies, or cold, or dog smells, so maybe camping is better after all. Hmmmm......

Oh my gosh. I made Nathan read your post. We were laughing so hard. We aren't really into indoor pets, so you can see why we were laughing. Um, your tummy tum tum is just precious. Can I touch it?

We dont ever have family reunions. :( Looks like the best excuse to get out of town and have a vacay though right? Maybe I will have to take charge and head up the planning committee. The pictures are great and you are so cute with your belly!

Nolan & I went to Oregon with his family for a week when I was preggo w/ Olivia! I disliked it very much! It was not my cup of tea! I wanted warm sandy beaches, instead I got cold windy stinky beaches! I couldn't agree more with you about the hippie thing! Would I go back? Maybe for the Clam Chowder!

PS You look so cute preggo!! I love Brett! He cracks up!
