The Green Balloon

Doesn't Brett look totally jazzed to still be in the car?

This green balloon totally got us through our grocery shopping today. Why didn't I think of this before? My sanity is definitely worth $0.99. Definitely.

If you have to run errands during the day, how do you entertain your kids?

P.S. I just talked to my friends Ashley and Val, who are coming down to visit, and they missed the exit to my house by 50 miles!!! It's going to be a long freaking night... for them. Sad.

I don't entertain, I just bribe and threaten.

LOL that's too funny. I need to copy your idea and get Brecky a balloon. I usually give her jewelry to play with though.
I didn't know Ash and Val were coming down! How fun!

I have bought way too much junk to keep my kids quiet. I often walk around town with them singing their little dorky songs. I have gotten many looks from people when I start singing about popcorn on an aprocot tree.
Have fun girls!

I bribe, but they get nuthin until the very, very end of the trip. And I keep my promises. If they start acting up, I have to hold my ground and not give in. It works, for the most part.

What a cutie!

BTW- What program do you use to make your blog header????

Hey, this is Megan Stewart's sister Amanda. I totally bribe my kids with whatever suits their fancy for the day. Candy, stickers, color books, the horse rides at walmart, whatever works and keeps me sane at the same time.

I love the little things in life, and so do the little kids.

i sing songs, i let her hold things, she sits in the back and plays with the food (eggs go in the front. i learned this after she emptied nearly a dozen on the floor and i was slow to pick up on it), we eat snacks, i tell stories, we bring toys. . .it's exhausting.
