When Life Gives You Lemons...

At church, with the sunbeams...(3-4 year-olds)

Teacher?

Yes?

Your dress smells like lemons.

Why thank you!

...I don't like lemons.

Well, I don't like you.

So funny, I taught the sunbeams in our last ward. One sunday, a little girl said "last night, my dad went poop, and it was so stinky!"

That is so dang funny! I can't handle comment # 1, that is a crack up!
I keep little journals for my kids right next to my side of the bed and when they say something funny or cute, I usually run in there and hurry and write it down so I don't forget. I love going back and reading from them. Kids are the best!

That cracks me up! While were on the subject of funny things kids say...especially in church, one of the 6 year olds was telling me how here mom has just been wobbling around the house for the past few days because she had surgery. Well me being nosey, I asked her...Why did your mommy have to have surgery. She shrugs her shoulders and says..."Mommy’s thighs were getting too big!" Im scared for what my kids are going to say about me someday....
Grant and I are way excited for the cabin also!!! YAY!!

Can I add mine?? We taught the five-year-olds when we were first married. We had a lesson on being a peacemaker... there was an example in the lesson...
"Savannah. Pretend like you're coloring a tree purple, and a boy comes over and starts teasing you. What could you do to be a peacemaker?"
Savannah: "Why would I color a tree purple?"
Me: "Just pretend."
Savannah: "I would never color a tree purple."
Me: "Just imagine a boy was being mean because of the way you colored your tree. How could you be a peacemaker?"
Savannah: "Well, I would tell HIM that I can color the TREE ANY COLOR I WANT!"

Doh! That's funny. I wonder what crazy stuff our boys are going to come up with...in public...for all to hear.

:) I wish I had done a better job writing down what Carly said when she was younger. She had a pretend kitchen set and would ask if you wanted "Dr. Pepper" (salt & pepper) and it always made me smile when we "cooked" together

I taught the Sunbeams for 3 years... and I always knew long before it was public knowledge when someone's mommy had a baby in her tummy. Love your blog!
