We spent Thanksgiving this year at the family cabin in Colorado. It was really fun and the food was great. I didn't want to kill anyone, or myself, so I think it was a pretty successful holiday. Because I think that's what holidays are all about... eating good food, being with family and not wanting to slit your wrists. My family is so lucky to have me.I think this was the first year of my life that I actually liked Thanksgiving food (I'm picky). I tried a little bit of everything {Turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, etc.} Everything. It was delish. Ok, I lied. I didn't eat any pie. Because I don't like pie. But everything else was really good. My Nater cooked a good portion of the meal and it was top notch.
It started snowing right as we sat down to eat.
So naturally, my FIL and I got out our big-@ss cameras and started snapping away.
Going for a ride up the mountain.
It was beautiful. There was snow covering every branch. I love it when it does that. But what I don't love is being cold. Or hot. Nate is so lucky to have me.
My little rosy-cheeked Bubba.

Cheesy McCheeser. I just love him. He cracks me up!Aaah! And it's December 1st today! Where did 2008 go?

wow, it looks beautiful. I would love to be plopped down there to spend a holiday...you know, snuggle inside, adventure outside (if you want), snuggle more, eat, put your fleece pajamas back on at 3 and snuggle by a fire. But, I would not want to live there where you have to get up and get dressed and actually go about the daily life. And I completely understand about the success is measured by making it back home without wanting to slit your wrist :o)
What a fun Thanksgiving! I hate snow, but snow on Thanksgiving or Christmas is ok...and so pretty!
YOU MAKE ME LAUGH! thanks for that.
those pics are all awesome but the pics of Cheesy McCheeser are adorable!

Brett is just too cute for words...love his goggles!
So true! ;) I was in your neck of the woods for Thanksgiving! 4 1/2 days went by too fast, one of these visits I will come visit you while I'm there! But we did support your family business while there--I think there were 40-50 tickets purchased over 3 days with our clan :)
